Paul Mansfield

Paul has been practicing law for 40 years. He graduated 2nd in a class of 1750 (summa cum laude) at Rutgers College in 1980, and attended New York University School of Law, where he graduated in 1983. He is admitted to the bars of New York and Pennsylvania.
After law school, Paul practiced First Amendment and entertainment litigation at Coudert Brothers in New York, and eventually practiced litigation in house at Capital Cities/ABC, Inc.
He began his career in criminal law in 1985 when he worked as a Special Attorney for the Department of Justice in the Fort Lauderdale Field Office of the Miami Organized Crime Strike Force. He then was hired by Ron Castille as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia, where he handled literally hundreds of pretrial hearings, trials and sentencings. Paul became an Assistant U.S Attorney in Philadelphia in 1991 (Organized Crime Division), where he tried primarily organized crime, drug, and firearms cases on behalf of the federal government. He was awarded the Executive Office of U.S Attorneys Director’s Award for his work on the investigation and prosecution of a Philadelphia mob boss and his associates.
For the past 10 years, Paul has worked as a criminal defense attorney in the Philadelphia area. Part of that time was devoted to working as a Special Attorney with the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office, where he represented indigent clients.
